Story in Brief
The main character of this novel is Hasan. He belongs to a middle class family. He completed his study now he is an unemployed. He stay with his family. There he lives with his sister, brother & his sister in law. He went to Mr. Hishamuddin’s house to write his autobiography. He gives him 600 taka for an hour.
But he never gives him one hour but he likes him a lot. He introduced his daughter Chitralekha with him. One day Mr Hishamuddin was dead. So he lost that job also. Hasan loves a girl name Titli she also belongs to a middle class family.
She also loves him but her father was not agree with their relationship & he get married Titli with another man named Soukot. At the beginning she doesn’t accept him but after some days passed & he accept the reality. Hasan passes his days with this sorrow.
On the other hand Hasan’s sister in law Rina she is a good person she always take care of her family but his husband Tarek he is in a relationship with his colleague Laboni. One day Rina get the truth that Tarek cheated on her she left the home. She get shelter in her friends home & also get a job & become self dependent. After some times later Hasan become sick & doctor told him that he has a brain tumor.
He needs more money to take treatment but as we know that he is not rich so it’s difficult to him arrange the money. When get this news Chitralekha come to him & try to help him. In that time Chitralekha feels for him & become weak to him.
They both wish that if it’s not happened. They can stay together with more happiness. But the destiny was not with them. One day Hasan died & his dreams ,desires & his needs died with him. In this novel we found some unequal relationship & we realize that what we want we can’t get them always. Sometimes we have to lose.
